Kingdom Kids Choir
Kingdom Kids is one of the childrens music training programs of Hunter First Baptist Church. The program is open to any child, first through sixth grades, who enjoys music and is interested in improving their music skills. It is designed to teach music skills including theory, harmony, rhythm, vocal training and choreography.
The program, which runs from August through May, concludes with a musical presentation for family and friends. Classes are held on Sundays and Wednesdays and are fully integrated with the AWANA program. There is no fee
f
or children who desire to be involved in the program; however, parents are asked to help with the cost of their child's costume for the musical (generally $12 or less).
Last year's program was "Solid Rock Cafe," a musical by Pam Andrews and John DeVries, which teaches kids about the importance of setting their lives upon the Solid Rock of Christ Jesus. The music blends a combination of new and old children's songs together with Contemporary Christian Music straight from the airwaves of today.

Kids Praise Choirs
Kids Praise Choirs run opposite the AWANA ministry on Wednesday nights. All children ages three through grade two can attend this choir program.
Groups meet in the main meeting area of the Children's Department and then divide into preschool and school aged choirs.
The curriculum used for both groups is "Made for Praise," a worship oriented choir program. Children are encouraged to sing and sing well; however, the primary focus is on worship to God. Each night, children learn Bible concepts and musical concepts. The purpose is to train the next generation of lead worshippers to have great musical skills and to be Godly boys and girls and therefore Godly men and women.
For more information, e-mail chris@hunterfirst.com or simply bring your child. There is no advance sign-up for this choir.
